Hi to all my good friends! And unknown friends who may have surfed in.......... Boy is it ever hot!! We have had quite the heatwave here lately - right now it is 97 degrees. I hate to think what the heat index is. Our family has been very busy lately. Summer is always a busy time. Matt, our son, is home from EIU and working in the Brainard Dredging office as well as keeping all the rental properties mowed. He is getting ready to move back up to Charleston for another exciting semester! I always miss him, but I am also glad that he is independent. He has a couple of good roommates this year. My husband Gary is just finishing up dredging at Lake Wawasee in Syracuse, Indiana and getting ready to dredge for the City of Flora Illinois. Keith is still dredging at Lake Petersburg up near Springfield Illinois. They have a job in Ft. Meyers Florida coming up soon; hopefully when it cools down some. Me, I'm still working full time at Olney Central College, taking classes at Eastern Illinois University to complete my bachelor degree, and helping out in the Dredging office when I can. Whew! I have my 30 year class reunion coming up in November and I am looking forward to that. |
