Hello and welcome to Tom's Harley-Davidson FLSTF (FatBoy) web page. This page will include photos and some literature dealing with my HD, a great looking Laser Red Pearl FatBoy. Also I plan on including photos of my two brother's Harleys and some close friend's as well.
Harley-Davidson has been in my blood for over 20 years when my brother Dave got his 1976 1200 Super Glide back in the later 70's. I used to be amazed at him when he would ride off every summer for a two week vacation traveling all over the US and even Northern Canada. Then, more recently, my brother Jeff got his first, a Heritage Softail Classic in the early nineties. That is hard to swallow when your younger brother gets down and dirty before you do. He travels all over the states as well.
He and I took a trip to Nova Scotia August '99. He rode in from St. Louis (650 mile trip), spent the night at my house and we rode off for our trip the next day. I put on 2500 miles round trip and enjoyed every minute of it. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and photos are added to this page.
In 2000 I rode out to Chicago, picked up my bro and another biker friend and rode out to Winter Park, Colorado. This was an incredible trip. 4500 miles and ten days later I experienced the greatest trip I ever took. Riding a Harley out west was absolutely beautiful and there is nothing like it, believe me.
Then in 2001 we finally did the trip to Sturgis SD. I again rode to Chicago early then later that night we headed out west. 940 miles and 15 hours later we arrived in Rapid City. We were glad to be staying in a hotel that night because it was 107 degrees and we were both wiped out from the heat and the long ride. Boy are there some beautiful sights in that area.
My 1999 Harley Fatboy performed wonderfully and it is a great experience riding all those miles.
I purchased my ride from New Castle Harley-Davidson located in New Castle, Pennsylvania. I have been told by many riders that this place was very fair, knowledgeable, and helpful. So far I haven't been disappointed.
I plan on supplying links to other web pages dealing with Harley-Davidson for those of you who love to look at other bikes as much as I do. If you are like me, you get excited at the mere sight and sound of a Harley thundering down the road.
