After my recuperation of a broken leg suffered the day before opening day of Turkey season in April '05, my friend Bill & I went out for Deer season. Bill disappeared very well into the scenery and I wasn't too bad myself. We bagged a deer this particular day for a fund-raising dinner for Fire and First Responders in New Jersey. What an experience. Though it paled in comparison to the day he & I went upstate on a cold Nov. '05 day. We had a BIG deer come up from behind us and I wasn't able to get a clean shot. So we let it go. Too bad, it was big and beautiful. Would've made for a good first take.
Finishing up the day near Tuxedo Park after a bow take by Bill.
Bill & I at the house in New Jersey where we donated this deer for a Fire Dept. fund-raiser.
