Sonny's Dune Buggies

I just bought  a dune buggy out here in Southern CA.
It was made by Glitterbug out of San Fernando CA.
Its on a shortened pan with a removable hard top.
It needs to be restored. I found it while looking for a car trailer. It had an old tarp barely covering it when  I asked the guy who owned it if it was for sale he said," Oh yeah that".  He proceeded to tell me that the buggy was parked there for 10 years and that he hasn't even thought about it for 2 years .
He said he would take $200. for it .
OH YEAH!!! Sold!  I took these pictures of it last week when I brought it home from its 10 year hibernation. I'm not sure the original gel coat was red metalflake maybe I'll go back to that. I need to have some things re-chromed or just replaced roll bar etc.

Other Dune Buggies we have had.

This blue dune buggy was one of my favorites that we have owned. I had it when I lived
in Atlanta but sold it before I moved.  It is still unknown at this time but, the DBA is
working on it's identity.

This aqua colored dune buggy  was also mine. I could get the front wheels off  the ground
with no problem. I hated the tires and wheels on it though.  I sold it before I changed them, the guy that bought it loved them, different strokes
I guess.
