IMPERIAL CITIES 8 DAYS/6 NIGHTS

famous past as you travel this northern route.
Day 1 - To casablanca from New York
Depart this evening on your transatlantic flight on Royal Air Maroc's
direct service to Casablanca.
Day 2 - Casablanca to Rabat
Upon arrival you will be met and assisted by a representative of our
local Oussaden Tour office. A 60- mile drive brings you
to Rabat, the present capital of Morocco and the official residence
of King Hassan II. Check in to your hotel. Afternoon tourswill include
the walking to Kasbah of the Oudayas, the Great Masque, the Hassan Tower
and the magnificient Mohammed V Mausoleum. You will drive past the ramparts and
the walls of Mechouar that encompass the royal palace. Dinner and overnight in Rabat.(D)
Day 3 - Rabat, Moulay Idriss, Volubilis, Meknes, Fez
You will begin your exploration of the Imperial Cities this morning with a stop
at the Holy City of Moulay Idriss where the founder of Islam is buried. Continue on to
the archaeological site of the Roman ruins at Volubilis. From here you will travel to Meknes where,
after lunch, you will drive throughout the wall and numerous gates of Bab el Mnsour, the Shrine Mosque,
tne tomb of Moulay Ismail, Dar Jami Palace and the Royal Stables. End your day in Fez, the first Imperial
City which was built in 790 A.D. by Moulay Idriss II(B,D)
Day 4 - Fez
A full day to explore Morocco's most fascinating city and the world's last surviving Medieval city Start
today by traveling downtown to visit King Palace. After walking through the Jewish and Arab sections,
you will see South King Palace. Continue along the river for a panoramic view of the Old Town Medina.
You enter the city through one of the main gates for a walking tour highlighting the Karaounine University -
the oldest in the world , The Mederssa Attarine, Buanania Religious School, Najarine Fountain, ending with an
optional lunch at Chez Momo. Later visit Moulay Idriss Mausoleum and a famous tannery where skins are cured and dyed in
enormous vats. There will also be tine to shop for some of Fez's famous handicrafts.(B,D)
Day 5 - Fez, Beni Mellal, Marrakesh
Depart early this morning and travel through the Middle Atlas Region of Imouzer Kender, through Berner villages to
the delightful ski resort of Ifrane, Continue to Azrou, a Berber village dnown for its handcrafts and carpet weaving.
Traveling through woded and mountainous scenery brings us to Marrakesh-the "Pearl if the South" a lush tropical resort.(B,D)
Day 6 Marrakesh
A full day of sightseeing today in Marrakesh. You will visit the Tombs of Sandra King, Dars Said Museum, the Aguedal and Menara
Garden, where you will see some of Morocco's best art work. At the ruins of Elbadi Palace you will see the tanners and dyer's quarters.
Later,visit the world-famous Dfemaa Elfna, a spectacular open theater with storytellers, soothsayers, fire-eaters, snake-charmers and
palm-readers.Tonight's special treat is a dinner party with typical Moroccan entertainment, including folklore music and skilled horsemen
riding charging Arabian horses.(B,D)
Day 7 - Marrakesh, Casablanca
Depart this morning for Essaouira, a picturesque fighting port of an 800-year-old city which shows traces of Iberian nfluence in its forts
and towers. We suggest you lunch outdors at Chalet de la Place, Central Varket and Anfa Residential area. Once here you visit the mosque HassanII
wich us tge second largest in the Moslem world to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Continue to your hotel for dinner and overnight.(B,D)
Day 8 - New York
After breakfast ou will be transferred to the airort and assisted with customs for your return flight home, arriving New York the same day.(B)
