I have too many interests! This prevents me from concentrating on one thing and doing it well (including devoting an entire web site to it).
- Photography. This is probably the main reason I created this site-- so that I can share photos with friends/relatives more easily. My current equipment consists of a Canon EOS Elan IIe body with Canon 28-105mm USM and 75-300mm zooms. I carry this stuff around in a LowePro Nova 4 bag, along with assorted filters and other accessories. Make sure to check out the Photo Album!
- Car Audio. This hobby, like most in my life, waxes and wanes. It's kinda quiet right now, since I am concentrating on modifying my 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T and my newest acquisition, a 2003 Mustang Mach 1.
- The aforementioned Eclipse Turbo. I've become quite the boost junkie because of this car. I'm learning all I can about modifying it to increase its performance to a much higher level. I have always liked the Eclipse, ever since Dana and I test drove one way back in 1990. The current list of mods is:
- Mitsubishi 18G Turbo
- DV/DT Fabrications FMIC
- HKS-style SSQV BOV
- TurboXS HP Boost Controller
- RnR Racing 2.5" O2 Eliminator Turbo-back Exhaust
- K&N Cone Air Filter
- Isspro Boost and EGT Gauges
- DSMLink Version 2
- PTE/Delphi 780cc Fuel Injectors
- Polarg Miracle White headlamps
- Free Mods
- NGK BPR7ES spark plugs and NGK wires
- Pro1 lightweight crank pulley
- Alto end clutch upgrade
- B&M SuperCooler A/T cooler
- TransLab shift kit
- SpeedFreaks Racing LSD Insert
- The new Mustang Mach 1. Quite a different beast than the turbo 4, the big American muscle V8 is still a pretty thrilling ride. I've coaxed a 13.6@103 out of it so far at the 1/4 mile track, with only the following small mod list:
- C&L Intake
- SLP Off-road X-Pipe
- Xcalibrator 2 tuner
- NGK plugs (one range colder than stock)
I've also got a nitrous system mostly purchased and waiting to be installed. It's a 100-shot wet system from NitrousWorks.
- Music. Listening, playing, and discussing most types, including pop/rock, jazz, and even country. I was even getting into some folk rock and even some New Age stuff lately as well.
- Vintage aircraft. An interest of mine since I was a wee lad. I was at one time toying with the notion of joining the Conferederate Air Force (now called the Commemorative Air Force-- stupid political correctness...). Here is a picture of my favorite plane.
- Sports
- Baseball
- Softball. I try to play recreationally on men's and co-ed teams, although I'm semi-retired (hopefully only temporarily) right now.
- Basketball
- Mountain Biking. My current bike is an Iron Horse AT 200, to which I have added a Rock Shox Quadra 21R front shock.
- Golf.
- Hunting. I love upland game bird hunting (doves and quail). Regrettably, now I usually only get to hunt when I go back home for Christmas. [sigh]. I have a Remington 870 12 gauge pump shotgun, and my dad lets me use his 1187 automatic whenever I'm in GA.
- Computers. I enjoy computers inside and out-- building them, tinkering with hardware and software, and trying to stay somewhat current on the latest technology. That's pretty difficult, though. Most of my home computer equipment was purchased through on-line Internet auctions. I just got a new Dell (dude) a few months ago, a 2.8 GHz P4.
