Bill Schroeder is in his fifth year as a broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers. Bill broadcasts games for WCGV-Channel 24 and Midwest Sports Channel (MSC), which is a cable network. This year, 130 Brewer games will be televised by MSC or WCGV-Channel 24. During the off-season, Bill co-hosts "Talking Baseball" with Jim Powell on WTMJ-Radio (620 AM).

Bill has a lifetime .240 batting average, while spending eight seasons as a pro, with the Milwaukee Brewers and the previously known California Angels. Bill's best offensive season was in 1987, when he batted a career best .332. Also in '87, Bill caught Juan Mieves' no-hitter, which took place on April 15. The Brewers that year, got off to major league record tying 13-0 start. Bill hit 14 home runs (career high) and had 42 RBI as a back up catcher. Bill was traded to the California Angels after the 1988 season, before retiring in 1990.

Bill was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in Princeton, New Jersey. Schroeder graduated from West Windsor Plainsboro High School in New Jersey. It is there that Bill earned All-State honors in his junior and senior years. Later, he attended Clemson University, were he lead the Tigers to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) title in 1978 and again in 1979.

After retiring from baseball in 1990, Bill became a stockbroker for Paine Webber in the Milwaukee area. In 1984, he received the Milwaukee Brewers' Unsung Hero Award. In 1988, he received the Athletes For Youth Good Guy Award. Bill also has his annual charity golf event, the Bill Schroeder Celebrity Golf Classic, which is held in Lake Geneva, WI. The outing benefits the Children's Outing Association, which is a Milwaukee area charity organization.

Bill currently lives in Hales Corners, WI, with his wife and three kids.
