AMBER!!
This might sound strange to some, but one of things I love the most about being a viking and, especially, a female viking is that you get to wear AMBER!!!! Unless you've had the experience of wearing huge amounts of amber this likely sounds very strange to you, but it is a wonderful experience. The following links are with regard to my love of amber!
If beer is evidence that God loves us and wants us to be happy (Benjamin Franklin), I've come to believe that AMBER is evidence that God wants Viking Women to be happy.

Viking Knit Wire Weaving
Something that my husband, Elijord the Gaff, and I have started doing since joining the Lost Viking Crew is viking knit wire weaving. Here's a picture of me wire weaving on a hot summer day at the Dublin (Ohio) Irish Festival. Our group has helped at in the Irish Living History's re-enactment of Brian Boru's Ireland. MEAD...Wonderous Libation of the Gods
While my health keeps me sidelined from most viking drinking games, I have developed a serious appreciation for the joys of mead. Mead is little known amongst the general public. (HA! more for us) But truly it is an amazing drink! I've tried to gather some mead-related links. I encourage anyone who hasn't tried mead (assuming they are legal drinking age) to try it some night instead of the usual bottle of wine.
Mead is created by fermenting honey. Mead ranges from very dry to very sweet, and can be combined with a number of different fruit juices, spices, or herbs to create a wide variety of different flavors.
