May 4th - CANCELLED - The 32nd BOE-CAT Negotiations Session - 6:00 p.m. - Closed Session. This is an "engraved in stone" meeting. (Engraving just ain't what it used to be!)
May 6th - SIP Day - Early Dismissal
May 21st - Regular CSD #1 BOE Meeting - 6:00 p.m. - Central Office Board Room
May 25th - No School - Memorial Day
May 25th - Regular CSD #1 FOP Meeting - 10:45 a.m. - Central Office Board Room
May 26th - SIP Day - Early Dismissal (Probably will be moved to June 2nd and include the "Retirement Luncheon".)
June 3rd - Last Day of Student Attendance - Changed from May 27th due to the use of all five emergency days. (Two "Act of God" days were also requested and granted.)
June 18th - Regular CSD #1 BOE Meeting - 6:00 p.m. - Central Office Board Room
June 22nd - Regular CSD #1 FOP Meeting - 10:45 a.m. - Central Office Board Room
July 22nd - As outside temperatures reach "negative 15 degrees Fahrenheit", a note pried from the fingers of a gnarled, cold hand protruding from a window of the Central Office (the doors of which have been frozen shut for the past week as a 6-inch layer of ice covers everything within a two-block radius) reveals that the BOE and CAT bargaining teams have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. A ratification vote will be taken, maybe, if the BOE will finally agree that the part-time teaching employees (who were NOT given the summer off) will be released from their assigned duties for 15 minutes in order to vote. (The BOE has been holding out since mid-June on this final item, defiantly maintaining their position that the part-time teaching employees have many unassigned hours during the day and should use THAT time for union activities.)
