The small room has changed since your last visit...
The room is moderately furnished with the intricately carved oak table,
which books were open and ready for your perusal, a small lamp for reading and writing illuminating the pages...
The table is empty now.
The bookshelves are now empty as well, a hint that something is now amiss.
The fireplace has been lit once again, bathing everything in a soft yellow glow, yet the fire is smaller than usual.
The door at the far end opens once last time, and a man approaches with a small journal in his hand.
Adjusting his glasses, he walks over to the table, sits down and addresses you.
The time has come for me to leave you...fellow researchers and writers of the D'ni civilization.
It has been a long time since I have been here and I have tried to do what I promised but this was not to be.
I have been lax in my duties here, and I do apologize.
But one day, I shall return and do what I was destined to do...
...to bring back my own magic of what was once a great and ancient civilization...
one where wonders and mystery abounded from the days of old...
That civilization was D'ni. Alas, it is gone...but it will never be forgotten.
I sincerely hope you will remember me as you continue on with your adventures,
as I am still wandering myself, waiting for the next chapter in my story to begin.
And there will be more, my friends...much, much more for you to see.
