About the Author

Hopefully you have already seen the rest of the site; now here a few tidbits of information about yours truly and why I designed this site.
My name is James Richard Wils, but most people, excluding my fiancée (I love you Torri!) call me Jim or Jimmy. I was born on February 25, 1979 in to parents Leilani Faith and Michael Anthony. I have two sisters: Sarah Elizabeth, 19; and Amanda Rose, 1; and I have one brother: David Henry, 17. I am currently living in Newport, North Carolina and I graduated from highschool at New bern High School, Class of '97. After highschool I went to Parris Island where I was trained as a Marine. I am currently a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. I also attend Carteret Community College, where I am taking courses prescribed for college transfer. I plan to move to Tennessee and attend Middle Tennessee State University. I am majoring in history with an emphasis on education, and especially concerning the Middle Ages. I plan to earn my Ph.D. and one day go on to be a college professor and maybe even write a book.
Recently, my life has been taking several leaps and bounds in a very positive direction. For instance, a little over a year ago, I met the woman who has totally changed my life. On October 24, 1998 I met Victoria Rae Williams after literally "bumping" into each other at Wal-Mart, of all places. ( I have always said, if you need to find something, look at Wally World!) On November 4, 1998, we started our relationship and have now been together for over 16 months. Things have not been all smooth sailing, but we have made it work, and I couldn't be happier. On November 26, 1999, I asked Victoria to marry me and she said "yes". We have not yet set a date, but we have already begun the planning process for starting our family.
On December 21, 1999 at 12:30 in the morning, Victoria and I were blessed with the most wonderful little bundle of joy that any mother and father could possibly ask for. Annabelle Cailín Wils, born in Murfreesboro, TN, weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 1/4 in. at birth. She was an absolute doll (and still is!) and we adored her at once. She has certainly been the light in my life.
OK, enough about my personal life. Some of you may be wondering why I designed this website. Well, the answer is very simple. I LOVE IRELAND!!! Ever since I was old enough to realize that I was Irish, I have been fascinated with the little island in the North Atlantic. For that reason, I have studied much Irish history, and become interested not only in the Irish, but all other Celtic areas as well. I hope to live to see the day when the troubles of my people will finally be over and we can breathe an air of peace. Until that day comes, however, I support the cause for a united Ireland, under ONE IRISH GOVERNMENT! Erin Go Bragh!
