Lost Faith

I played the fool,
Hoping for your heart,
Thinking you would care,
That we might have to part.

I've given you everything I have,
My world, my soul, my heart,
I ask for very little,
I don't want us to part.

I've run out of faith,
I've run out of hope,
All I have is this love,
I'm not sure I can cope.

I have no tears left,
Just this ache in my heart,
I'm losing so much,
It's tearing me apart.

I feel like giving up,
I'm lost and confused,
But my heart screams no,
My soul feels worn and used.

All I want is one night,
Of dreams come true,
One night when it's real,
Because I love you.
