DID YOU KNOW: One of the Black men who fought with George Washington and is pictured crossing the Delaware with him was actually a wealthy African sent to the United States to get an education and was sold into slavery by a crooked white man? Click here to learn more about Prince_Whipple.

DID YOU KNOW: That after President Abraham Lincon signed the famous Emancipation Proclamation the slaves in Texas continued to live in bondage for 2 to 3 years before learning that they were in fact free? DID YOU KNOW: That at an Atlanta Cotton Expo in 1895, Booker T. Washington made a speech to a host of prominent whites in which he promised them that if they put their trust in negros, we would, without malice, be loyal servants and even die for them if need be. DID YOU KNOW: That on Sept 19, 1868 nearly a dozen African Americans were massacred while attending a Republican political rally in Camilla Ga.? The events surrounding the massacre were compiled by Prof. Lee W. Formwalt of Albany State University.
