I. The Russian Far East -- Yakutia
These pages contain some of my diary entries and photos from my two visits to Yakutia. I made my first trip there in winter of 1993 and returned in the summer of 1996, both times as a teacher of English language.
II. Erfurt
The medieval city of Erfurt, the capital of Thuringen, Germany, was part of East Germany from 1949 until 1989. These pages will compare and contrast my experiences in this city on two separate occasions, first in 1987 and most recently in 1997.
