Subject: Minor Natural Revelations
Hello.
The three following statements are excerpted from a list of useless facts
circulating on mailing lists.
o A duck's quack doesn't echo and no one knows why
o Camel's milk doesn't curdle
o Porcupines float in water
Mark my words, these are not useless facts. In fact, understanding them
is enough to make you a contentious magical presence if not master of
the known universe...
Okay, would you believe, they are enough to make a better mythographer
of someone?
Anyway, echo science titillates me (Oh no A Priest of Narcissus!). And I
have some program taped where if you clap your hands on a Mexican
pyramid, it echoes seven times. No one knows that one either they tell
me, but... Personally I think it's some humongous revelation just
waiting for someone...
(But I'll be sure to be more careful to look for Daffodils that look like ducks now… hmmm…
)
…Like you can hear how many dimensions the sound is operating in or
something? (Uh oh here come some Real Physicists to tell me what a
twinkiebrain I am for that...gotta run!)
And obviously I will tell you next that this means you can use sound to tell where extradimensional portals are and all of this kind of crazy things…
Your money back if not absolutely satisfied.
Peace!

Subject: The Pop-Tart Test
Hello!
...just testing the brain here...
Okay, let's see... part of the magic of going Fractional Quantum is that
it's going on in two dimensions, meaning I hope that those "Atomic
Memory* criteria in Scientific American magazine, like all the electrons
having to line up like horses at the starting line of a race track are a
*lot more likely* (Give or take Heissenberg?) to line up in two-d.
Of course I know nothing about any 2-d atoms, but I have a nice little
article about (Who gives a flying leap?) one dimensional hydrogen in a
square quantum well...
...but I'm of the opinion this Atomic Memory being modelled as a
racetrack is about the only reason they Had racetracks in those Ancient
Times...
Yup, the test confirms it, my brain is now working at it's usual peak
percentage, about .0003%
It's good to be back to *normal*...
...And now back to the irony of 2-d ghosties that look like they need
ironing... pre-shrunk by Von Schrenck-Notzing...
Head-shrunk to a higher frequency,
Peace!

Subject: Pretty Seedy Business
Hello.
A wonderful post recently on the cuups list, about someone having given
out packages of seeds as trick or treats for Halloween.
Having either way too many or way too few of all of my seeds, I had been
having the same idea.
In fact, the more I think about this, the more appropriate it seems,
until it reaches the point
where I really have to wonder if that isn't what someone used to do, and
someone before them, and someone before them, and...
Soooo... I've yet to do a *contemplative meditation*
on the subject to see if we can engage mythology to illuminate
seedsmanship as we might with Prometheus altered from fire-bearer to
grain-bearer and all that it entails like the possible chemistry of the
plants used for ancient seed tubes and their effects on the longevity
and germinativity of the seeds within theme...
But most of the Cucurbits I've tried have notably good longevity and
germinability, some were sitting around a decade or more and you'd never
know it.
(The morning glories also have this habit, and it's no coincidence that
they contain gibrellins (sic? It's way too much like *gibber* for me not
to be confused), substances used sometimes by professional growers to
achieve unusual results germinating... they are supposed to be naturally
produced by micro-organisms in the soil.)
Will have to go look for the list of Watermelon Medicines again, those
plants used by Native Americans to help watermelons start and flourish.
(What? Preventative Ethnophytopathology? How dare these impudent
indigines excell! :-) :-) :-)
In the meantime, Being I can't decide if 'twould be best to make
pumpkins into oracles or cauldrons, the difference may be negligable.
The theme of using atomic memory techniques and concepts to promote
anti-decay of the seeds is not only enticing, but the regenerative
aspects seem echoed from the regeneration of Prometheus' liver (ie seed
lipid concerns?) to the coincident featuring of a Cucurbit chosen in a
myth/ legend/ folklore motif about a partly-eaten foodstuff that is
magically intact in the morning...
Of course, Ecballium sp., the Squirting Cucumber, may be a little
exceptional here, but is certainly Is evocative...
Lost without my oracle, but I'll give it some thought...
Er, uh, anyone encountered information on Homeopathic Extracts prepared
from seeds? The part contains the whole, and the seeds are much more
likely to be around intact when you need them,
where to put the drying rack is fast becoming a small personal crisis in
a small house...
Peace!

Subject: Dancing In The Warmth
Hi again.
I was reading in that "Return of the Thunderbeings" book about one of
the first skills being taught to the aspiring shaman was how cool and
warm ones self by, apparently, volition. Apparently we are unworthy of
receiving the secret...
...but I come to think it's the other way to skin one of the big *free
energy* cats... and it's portable...
...which is strange. I used to hear about Shirley MacClaine melting the
snow around her by thought,
and I used to think, "Oh swell. Fifty more of her in the basement this
winter and we might keep it over sixty degrees"...
...of course for me it's an opportunity to start another rant I can't
finish, about nervous systems having imploded their arrangements of
matter and some rather peculiar things...
...after all, it's something that hypnotists are constantly alluding to,
that insensitivity to extreme degrees and invulnerablity to it go hand
in hand...
...and I not only didn't feel the heat of steaming coffee having chewed
Coneflower root, my tongue didn't blister...
...it's even in some folklore book somewhere that it was a test for
death that hot coals wouldn't damage the skin if someone was in such a
state...
...whether I call That a deep trance or not...
...and what do the aura researchers tell me, that when you use
chloroform on leaves, the features inside the leaf are found outside,
and the chance of a phantom image increases...
...and a Scientific American article on Phantom Pains... (faint!)
...and above all else that the Theosophists confidently assure the world
our means of invulnerability is made of *some kind* of that same element
which inhabits neural channels, calcium...
...but I can't even begin to get it in a bottle...
… or out of my person with any finesse…
...how far from changing reality that seems...
Oh well, I'll need something to do this winter besides b*tch that the
cost of the average Kirlian camera is so suspiciously close to the rent
every month, that with That much mercy, I'd quickly be on the cutting
edge of biological research personally... "but, NoooOoOoOoOo"...
Time to dust off The Handbook of Psychic Discoveries by Oestrander and
Schroeder, and lament that if I'd only gotten deeper into my Bowie
phase, I'd Have one of those electrolysis units right now....
Someday I'll be so poor I'll only be able to afford a hologram of
fire...
… but maybe someday I'll be so smart, that that will actually work…
Your loose cannon sans ammo personally,
Peace!
