Our tour begins outside the main entrance to our school grounds. This sign is on a high retaining wall, which serves also an effective sound barrier. The railing which supports the sign is in the foreground of the following photo. This shot was taken on the intersection of King Georges and Stoney Creek Roads facing east. |
One of two footbridges leading to our school. This one is over King Georges Rd, which is a major arterial road running through Beverly Hills. King Georges Road starts at Blakeshurst in the south of Sydney, and on to the north at Punchbowl, where it continues on as Roberts Rd. If you follow Roberts Road to its end at Strathfield, you can connect on to Centenary Drive, which takes you to Homebush Bay, the site of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. |

These children are standing on the other footbridge leading to our school. This one crosses over Stoney Creek Rd, which is also a major arterial road in Beverly Hills, running from east to west. Our school is on the south east corner formed by the intersection of these two roads. If you travel down Stoney Creek Rd in an easterly direction, and continue on to Forest Road at Bexley, then you can follow Marsh St and Airport Drive to the Sydney International Airport at Mascot. |
This group of children from the school are enjoying the last week of their summer holidays before the start of the new school year in January 1998. They are sitting just inside the main entrance to our school. Behind them, part of the main school building can be seen. The path to the right leads on to the footbridge over King Georges Road. Further to the left and out of view is the path leading to the footbridge over Stoney Creek Road. |

Deserted playground at the rear of the school during the January 1998 school holidays. This is one of the many open-spaces around the school, and is sometimes used for basketball games. The building in the background to the left is the rear of the sports storeroom and to the far right is the rear of the main classroom block. |
This area is the playground and netball courts outside the main school building, which is behind and to the left of the photographer. The administration building can be seen behind the tree to the left and the staff car park is on the right. Note the sound-mound at the right, which is on the King Georges Road side of the school - there is also a mound on the Stoney Creek Road side. The light coloured building in the distant background is the school canteen. |

This picture is actually a composite of two photos (hence the netball court line markers appear crazy due to the change in perspective) and shows the main school building during the January 1998 holidays. The covered corridor to the right is where the parents are congregated in the following photo.

This group of parents wait patiently outside the administration block, watching as the children line up for morning assembly. This is the first day of the year for the 1998 kindergarten intake. The assembly area is to the left, in front of the small student walking towards it. |
This trio pose for the camera in the "quadrangle". They have their backs to the barbecue and the administration block. The quadrangle is a large grassed square with covered corridors around three of its sides and the general assembly area to the north. The school buildings are also located around the quadrangle. |

Looking north down the western corridor towards the main school building, which is past the gathering of people in the background. The administration block is on the left this time, and the side of the quadrangle and barbecue can be seen on the right. The covered corridors provide shade through our hot summers and keep the children dry in the winter as they navigate their way around the school. |
The Bell Ringers do their thing. A new kindergarten student is seen here sharing the job with his "buddy". Buddies, are children from senior classes, who are paired off with the kindergarten children for their first year. Their buddies help them in their assimilation into their new environment. The building on the right is the administration block, and the staff car park can be seen in the background. | ![]() |

A group of children at play outside the canteen. The stairs to the right lead up to the canteen servery and the building on the left is one of two "demountable" classroom blocks. Both blocks contain two classrooms each. The pink door in the background is the stage entrance to the school hall. |
The school canteen is a veritable beehive before school and during recess and lunch breaks. Here, a group of students waiting to be served turn obligingly for the photographer. The canteen is privately run and offers wholesome and well-priced meals, snacks and drinks for the children and staff. We are fortunate enough to have it open every day of the school week. |

Looking west along the southern corridor towards King Georges Road. The classroom block to the left is the "demountable" in front of the canteen, and the quadrangle is behind the bushes on the right. This picture was taken outside of the second classroom block, which is featured in the following photograph. |
This photo was taken from within the quadrangle, looking towards the other demountable classroom that was mentioned earlier. They both lie on the southern side of the school. Our beautiful school grounds can be seen in the background on the right. The following page takes you for a guided tour of the school grounds. |

This photo was also taken from within the quadrangle, this time facing the eastern corridor with the library in the background. The library has been greatly transformed in the past few years by our current librarian. It will be featured later in another tour. |
This photo shows a number of children lined up in the general assembly area on the northern side of the quadrangle. Part of the main school building can be seen in the background behind them. We have morning assembly every day here, and we all sing Australia's national anthem, "Advance Australia Fair". We then listen to any announcements or news before the children make their way to class. |
