The River Dragon Inn

Welcome to Lao Li's River Dragon Inn. In the old times, people came to inns not only for a meal or a drink, but also to listen to stories. Before the invention of the press, radio and TV, this was an important way to spread messages or information. With this in mind, I conceived this site as a forum for people who like stories.

So I invite you to stay here and listen to the storytellers. Of course, I would appreciate it, if you ordered a bowl of noodles, too, and some tea or wine. After all this is an inn :)

If you know a good story or tale, or have a yarn to spin, feel free and mail it to me. Any theme is welcome, though Chinese stories are preferred. There will be two threads, one with stories of all sorts and another, which will be a set of stories, connected by an ongoing story set around the inn. These will be chinese stories only.

Please submit your story here. Beside the usual Geocities rules for contents, there are two additional rules, first, the stories must be written in english, though inserted words or phrases in other languages usually will be tolerated. Second, please limit the stories to about 5000 words. Exceptions may be made, but it will have to be a very good story, then.

And before you leave, please pay for what you consumed at the counter. Thank you for coming.
