"[Our goal] will be done through the soponsoring of 'Empty Bowls' meals utilizing hand-made ceramic bowls to serve meals to friends consisting of homemade soup and bread in exchange for a donation of money. The guests will be asked to keep the bowl of their choice as a reminder of the meal's purpose, every time they take the 'Empty Bowl' from the cupboard they will be reminded that someone's bowl is always empty and that on this one occasion they helped to alleviate hunger and could choose to do so again at anytime."
