" While attending the PUMC I find a certain, satisfying peacefulness within me.  Like most people, I don't have all the answers when dealing with religion, but Pastor Jeff and the members of this Church allow me to walk away with a better understanding...a clearer sense for our purpose in life".

"The Parsippany UMC has an incredible sense of community about it.  When I'm there, I too, get a profound sense of purpose - to help others.  The congregation has been amazingly warm and welcome, making the newcomers truly feel like 'Jesus in disguise'.  The Church provides a safe haven to ponder my personal questions surrounding God and Jesus".          Jill Iurato

This is our mission:

In a hostile, hurting world,

we reach out to share kindness and

laughter.

Our spirituality is based on

JESUS and his love and compassion.

We provide a community of support and healing

where all are welcomed and valued

regardless of race, age, sexual

orientation, disability, gender, or

economic status.

In a world where people feel they can love

only

those who are like themselves,

we seek to celebrate the uniqueness

of every human being.

"What I like about the PUMC is the feeling of being welcome and the freedom and flexibility... The random acts of kindness are what really opened my eyes once again to the PUMC.  I was handed a carnation outside of Pathmark supermarket and not asked for a thing in return.  The warm smile that accompanied the flower was what made my day.  It made a difference in my entire week.  I feel honored to become a member of a church that puts so much importance and emphasis on reaching out to brighten the lives of others".          Sandi Young
