The tower looms before you as you make your way through the dark. What lays await for you within remains a mystery as your approach slows. The closer you get the taller and darker it gets. The air is bitter cold as the mist dances around you joyously. The rain falls gently as the thunder clashes with each flash of lightning.
The spires of the tower are like fingers reaching into that dark nothingness that surrounds you. The head of the gargoyles seem to follow you as you move nearer and their eyes glow red with fire. It appears as if they smile as you grow closer. An evilish grin, giving the impression of a little child laughing for no reason other than joy. The joy of what you wonder?
The beast beneath you stirs as it lands in front of the tower doors. The fog lurking thick and heavy as the smell of death and fear surrounds you. Screams of terror pierce the sound of the rain as you approach the door. As you begin to open the door your dragon bellows in pain as you turn to see it transforming into stone. It reaches high into the air trying to flee from the pain that now envelops it. As it does, the stiffening consumes it's body until it is a drab stone gray towering towards the sky like the tower that stands behind you. The last sounds of its agony ring in your ear as you decide your next move.
Do you dare proceed into the dark tower and face the unknown or should you run from what is unseen. Choose quickly for your fate could follow that of your beast and you too could be immortalized to spend eternity facing the elements. So choose wisely but choose swiftly for your fear senses a fate of stone:
Turn and enter the tower standing behind you.... Or run into the darkness that borders this land and leave this realm.
The choice is yours.....be wise and live long or be foolish and spend your life in fear.
