I will start by simply stating that I have not and will not and do not plan on reading the Starr Report. So my take on the situation is completely and totally uninformed. So why am I writing this? Better yet, why should you read this? Because. We all hate that answer as a child but somehow, this time it fits. You should read it because it will make you think and it needs to be said. Period.
Adultery: As a member of a Christian country faced with this issue, I am flat out ashamed. Not so much at Bill Clinton, but at the American People. A lot of people claim to be Christian, but they forget the lessons of Christ Jesus.
"But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." Mat 5:27.
"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" Mat 7:1-4
Bill Clinton sinned. He sinned against God and sinned against Hillary and sinned against his family. Those of you casting rocks...are you without sin? I sincerely hope that he repented his sins. I will pray for him and his family and pray that God has mercy upon him. After all, we are all saved only through Gods grace.
Obstruction of Justice: If he did this ... impeach him. Not because I wouldn't have lied. Cause most people would have lied under the circumstances. He should be impeached (or resign) because he is the chief law enforcement officer in the country.
Perjury: Its a legal argument. You can mislead, you just can't lie. Believe me they thought about it before hand and as slight as it may be it works in a court of law. People are jumping up and down yelling "How can you repent and then fight this using all legal means?" Easy. Would you want to go to jail? How about being impeached? We have a legal process to deal with this type of situation, and whether you like it or not, he has the right to use every available legal option to defend himself. Believe me, if you were in trouble with the law you would too.
Starr: He went too far with the report and his investigation. He cast a pretty large boulder and I hope that he has made peace with his God over it. Who knows, someone may go poking around in his closet.
The Media/Hype: Stop talking about how lurid, disgusting and painful it is and then giving the details. Stop trying to make a quick buck. Everyone has sex. People do it in weird ways. But don't complain about how raunchy the President's acts were and how children shouldn't read the report and then tell us where Bill stuck his cigar. Talk about morally corrupt. Your peddling trash.
Nuff said.
