An area of interest that fascinates me is the human mind and how we integrate and understand knowledge and reality. I seek this understanding in order to eliminate any mystical explanation of the universe like the God concept.

"Religion is fundamentally opposed to everything I hold in veneration--courage, clear thinking, honesty, fairness, and above all, love of the truth."-- Henry Louis Mencken

Now, if that did not offend you enough to stop reading, then you are in the right place. If that did offend you, then I suggest you leave now before your safe little world comes crashing down around you.

"Our minds are finite, and yet even in those circumstances of finitude, we are surrounded by possibilities that are infinite, and the purpose of human life is to grasp as much as we can out of that infinitude."-- Alfred North Whitehead

Conciousness, logic, reason, science and continuous questioning in an attempt to understand ourselves and our reality will eventually collapse all mystically-ladened societies and individuals.

"Science has proof without any certainty. Creationists have certainty without any proof." -- Ashley Montague

What is Man? by Mark Twain. In my opinion, this is one of Twain's greatest works. If nothing else, it may just get you to think...

Take a look at the Peter McWilliams Homepage for some good reading. Specifically, you may want to check out his book Ain't Nobody's Business If You Do

And for those who just didn't get it the first time, check out The American Bill of No Rights.
