These are some of the pictures from the evening of our 32nd Degree of the Scottish Rite at the Valley of Minneapolis, Orient of Minnesota. You will have to click on each individually. I did it this way so that your machine wouldn't get bogged down with all of the images.

Click here for a pic of the Class. A pro took a real shot, but Bro. Ron (one of our mentors) did me the favor of taking this with a snapshot camera

Click here for a shot of the Class and Mentors working through a discussion of the 32nd degree. We did this after each Degree, and it was quite useful (helped the stage crew, too).

Even those who have seen the impressive full-costume, full-form, long Scottish Rite class may not be familiar with the amount of work which the Valley of Minneapolis does in support of the actors. The sound men have the ability to have about 10 wireless mikes live simultaneously, the light crew has a wide variety of spots and projectors and house lighths to control. Several properties men labor diligently for each degree. Frequently the wonderful pipe organ supposts the cast, and a full male choir is another accent to the proceedings. All of this is pretty evident to the discerning eye. The area which receives the least attention is Wardrobe and Makeup. The small crews working in those areas transform the actors from the Brother you ate dinner with to Moses or Confucious or one of a hundred other characters. Here are a few pictures from that area.

Click here for another shot from the makeup room. So much work must sometimes be done on wigs and facial hair, that preliminary work is done on this model.

This is a quick look from Thursday night, and a peek behind the scenes. I hope you enjoyed it.
