Photo rushed by clipper from London shows school children rehearsing an evacuation drill. Today the drill was real as a start was made on evacuating 3,000,000 children, the ill and the helpless. Expectant mothers, blind persons and cripples were among the first to leave the congested areas of the metropolis for the comparative safety of the rural districts. The same precautions were being taken in other closely populated areas of England.
