This course is designed to train the student with the introductory section of the Internet, in order to understand its meaning, get connected and browse the WWW. The students as a first approach will study the content and follow the recomendations of the textbook "LEARN THE INTERNET" Level 1.
This course analyzes the concepts of Electronic mail (E-mail), down-loading files and up-loading files using the protocol FTP and surfing the World Wide Web (WWW). The students will study "hands-on" in the web pages assigned by the Instructor and will report the answers of model problems and exercises, via E-mail, Fax or any convenient communication system to the Instructor.
This course analyzes the concepts of logging on with Telnet, Newsgroups and On-line Chatting using the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) system.
