EAGLE-EYE

Oh majestic eagle what do you see perched on a snag so high above me? Your white head feathers shimmer so fine in morning glow sublime Do you see goldeneye ducks feathered black and white as they do their water tucks or elegant black cormorants as they sit and preen or white and gray gulls who swoop and squelp or busy madrona of peeling red bark and falling leaves or curlews calling their name while de-bugging meadow marsh or pesky crows nagging with 'caws' Are you awed by Mt. Baker snow-white and serene? Or are you focused only on lunch as it leaps water-free?
