Fractal Center
Here are some Fractal sites I've discovered through exploring and e-mail from postings in some news groups.
(alt.fractals.pictures, sci.fractals, and alt.fractals)
- Exploring Fractals and Chaos - A good place to start. This is layed out like a course explaining fractals and chaos theory. (gets into the math)
- Fractint Homepage - A great program for playing with fractals, but not a very friendly user interface. (It takes some time to figure it out, but it does have good help files)
- XaoS - Real-Time Fractal Zoomer - A great real-time zooming program. You just click with the left mouse to zoom in and with the right mouse to zoom out. Has several options but primarily uses the Mandelbrot set.
- Fractal eXtreme Web Site - I have yet to try this program but have been told that it has a better color editing interface (which might also mean a more user friendly interface) than Fractint. Try it and let me know! :)
- My Fractal Images - Finally, I have a page with one of my creations of a fractal. There is a description of it on that page. WARNING: This page has a very large graphic! It may take a long time to download. (You have been warned, but I think its worth it!)
