I've had a request for a Book-of-the-Week recommendation. I won't promise that I'll have a new one EVERY week, but I'll try!

One of my favorite authors is James Lee Burke - his most recent paperback in the Dave Robicheaux series is "Cadillac Jukebox" and it is just about as good as each of the prior books! :) If you have NOT read Burke's Robicheaux books, DO start with the very first in the series because they build on each other. The setting is Louisiana and his books are equal parts hardboiled action, lush descriptions of the natural world, vivid character development, and dialogue that leaps from the page.
