The John Glenn High School "Rocket" Marching Band began as a 48 member marching band when John Glenn High School was built 35 years ago. It has grown in numbers and currently has a membership of 69 members. As a member of the Michigan Competing Bands Assoc. The rocket Marching Band has many performances in the fall including all home football games as well as competitions and parades. The Rockets are performing very well this year competing in Flight I MCBA Competition.  State Finals Championships will held at the Silver Dome in Pontiac on October 30th 1999.
