What is GUMSA?

The Griffith University Muslim Student Association (GUMSA) was formed in August 1995 by the efforts of the growing number of muslim brothers and sisters and is now a recognized society of Grffith University, Brisbane, Australia.

The purpose of this Association is to provide social, cultural and religious support and interaction to students and staff of Griffith University. We welcome all Muslim and Non-Muslim students and staff to join this Association.

The members often meet at 2:30pm after Jummah(Friday) prayers in the Muslims prayer room which is located at the lower level of the University House(UHN) , Nathan Campus. The Association plans to hold Eid celebrations and other religious celebrations and activities throughout the year. We look forward to meeting all our members and welcome new members for the new academic year.
