WHAT'S

IN PLAINVILLE

Building Representative Council Meetings are usually held the first Monday of each month during the school year at 3:30 in the Wheeler School Media Center. All EAP members are invited to attend and express your views. Let the officers and representative know what YOU want and what's best for the teachers and students of Plainville.

If anyone is interested in attending CEA or NEA conferences, please inform an EAP officer. These conferences are open to all members, but we can only afford to send a limited number of members. The Rep Council will vote on who to send to these conferences, such as the Summer Leadership Conference, the CEA RA, the NEA RA and the Hartford County Council Meetings, if more than one member is interested.

CONTRACT CORNER

If you need a copy of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, please contact Central Office or an EAP Officer. The EAP contract is also available at the CEA Website. You can go to the CEA Members area, log on to their "members only" secure page, and view the contract.

QUIZMASTER'S SOAP BOX

Thank you for your support the last four years. I hope the EAP can continue to grow and move forward in the future. Do not let people who have their own personal agendas, either in Central Office or within our own organization, block what the union is trying to accomplish. We need to make a concerted effort in the future to forge a new relationship with those in Central Office who are dedicated to Plainville schools, students, parents and teachers. We should also continue to work for the day when teachers will be full partners in the educational process.

Opinions expressed in the above "Soapbox" reflect the views of the Webmaster of the EAP HOMEPAGE and not those of the entire organization . If you have any comments or if you'd like to express your opinion about what's written on this page, please contact Michael J. Fusco by e-mail using the address link at the bottom of this page. Thank you.
