Chakras I have been involved with spirituality of some form or another my entire life...yoga, however, has become my primary language for relating to the universe.

Aum. O terrestrial sphere! O sphere of space! O celestial sphere! Let us contemplate the splendor of the Solar Spirit, the Divine Creator. May He guide our minds.

"The Buddha always told his disciples not to waste their time and energy in metaphysical speculation. Whenever he was asked a metaphysical question, he remained silent. Instead, he directed his disciples toward practical efforts. One time he said, "Suppose a man is struck by a poinsoned arrow and the doctor wishes to take the arrow out immediately. Suppose the man does not want the arrow removed until he knows who shot it, his age, his parents, and why he shot it. What would happen? If he were to wait until all these questions were answered, the man might die first.' Life is so short. It must not be spent in endless metaphysical speculation that does not bring us any closer to the truth."

-- Thich Nhat Hanh

"I see God more real than I see you."

-- Ramakrishna (1836-1886)

"You should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I am in the heart of God."

-- Kahlil Gibran

Lead me from unreality to reality. Lead me from darkness to light. Lead me from death to immortality.

-- Sukla Yajur Veda, Brihadaranyaka Upanishads 1.3.28. HH, 202

May today there be peace within you.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing that you are a child of Goddess.
Let That presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun. It is there for each and every one of you.

May all beings everywhere
with whom we are inseparably connected,
be fulfilled, awakened, liberated and free.
May there be peace in this world
and throughout the entire universe,
and may we all together
complete the spiritual journey.
--Lama Surya Das

Hindu Prayer for Peace

Oh God, lead us from the unreal to the Real. Oh Divine Light, lead us from darkness to light. Oh Divine Life, lead us from death to immortality. Shanti, Shanti, Shanti to all. Oh Creative Energy within All Beingness, Almighty and Everlasting, may your perfect peace dwell in all celestial regions and may your omnipotent peace overflow into all that is in and on the Earth. May the waters pour forth in absolutely peaceful streams. May all vegetation be nourished in wholesomeness, and may trees teach us their knowledge of peace. May all beneficent beings in every realm radiate peacefulness. May thy Vedic Law propagate peace all through the universes. May we discover the essence of peace in all things. And may Your Peaceful Presence bestow peace on all. May the seeds of Your eternal Peace grow and blossom in me and in us all. Om Shanti Om.
