Cooking

Cher is a cook.  She cooks at the Convalescent Home; and she cooks at home as well.

From the time she can remember, she's been throwing things together to make concoctions for supper at home.  Of course, at first not everything turned out right, but through years of practice, she's learned how to mix things and I think she can taste a recipe just by reading it.

Cooking relaxes her.  If I worked in a kitchen eight hours a day, I wouldn't want one in my house.  But Cher says it's a completely different type of cooking altogether.  At work, she has specific things she has to cook and specific ways to cook them.  At home, she is free to experiment, to be creative.

Cher also bakes and decorates wedding cakes and other cakes for all occasions.  This is something she's done all her life, as her mother's helper while a child and now on her own.  She's just started making these cakes for people outside her family.  In the future, we'll have a couple of pictures.
