First project that nearly turned out to be more than I could handle; building my first PC. It is a mid tower ATX case; a 500mhz Intel Pentium III CPU; Abit BE6II motherboard; an Adaptec 2940 U2 W SCSI controller; 256MB PC-100 RAM; Two 9.1G IBM Ultrstar HDD's; ATI Rage Fury 32MB AGP video card; ATI TV Wonder; Soundblaster "Live" audio card, and a Plextor R8/20 CD burner & Plextor UltraPlex 32X CD-ROM; Lynksys DSL Router, linked to my 500Mhz Celeron tower; Belkin 5 port USB hub.
2nd PC:Abit SA6R Socket-370 i815E + RAID motherboard and a PIII 800Mhz CPU. 10-22; cannabalized to build 3rd machine.
10-02: Third PC: ASUS P4B533-E; P4 2.4Ghz; 512 DDR; 80G Maxtor 7200; Pioneer DVD-R; Plextor CDR; ATI Raedon AIW 7500; Win XP Pro; XP Office.
Some of my other interests are; photography, metal detecting, guns, (of course), arts/crafts, classic car mechanics, stereo systems/DC electronics, fishing, (mostly salmon), semi-classical & light country music, non fiction, and WILD women.
I have lately been trying to save a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III from the rust bucket, but the rust is winning.
I have been an avid Harley fan most of my life and have owned five, all panheads except the last, a 77 AMF Superglide, (sorry). I got tired of "kicking my brains out", and drum brakes. The first was a 1951, then; 56, 62, & 63.
I was pretty lucky and did only one two week stint in the UCSF hospital with nine broken bones and a punctured lung, (I was picking gravel out of my forehead as much as twenty years later).
The fastest bike I ever owned was a Kawasaki 900, (fast but no class). It has been said that riding a rice burner is a lot like pissing your pants in a dark suit; It gives you a warm feeling but no one really notices:-).
The bike I always wanted but never got is a 65 Harley; the first electric start, and the last panhead. I paid $500 for that first, then 8 year old, Harley. Now they are priced way too far out of my price range!
Please make yourself at home at my first feeble attempt at a website, and feel free to let me know what you think. I can be reached through the link on my main page or just write to bp@premaux.com. (My own domain, impressive huh?:-).
Please also check my Bookstore page to see some of my favorite books, (no obligation to buy). Follow any of the links for more detailed information at Amazon, (still no obligation). Lastly, and most important, PLEASE sign my GUESTBOOK! I really enjoy seeing who has been here on their travels across the NET. (AND, I really appreciate the comments and suggestions).
