National Honor Society
National Honor Society, NHS, is a organization in which students may participate during their junior and senior years. To qualify for admission, students must show not only high academic standing, but leadership and school involvement as well. NHS works with Habitat for Humanity, Mana House, & Hope House, as well as motivates students to make good grades.
NHS offers tutoring to anyone in any subject on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school (7:45-8:30) in Ms. Monroe's room, located on the second floor by the study center.
Quiz Bowl
The quiz bowl team is a group of students that volunteer to attend quiz matches. These students must prepare on their own time and work as a team to answer questions in competition against other teams.
Literary Rally
District literary rally is held each spring at Northwestern State University, followed by state rally at LSU-Baton Rouge. Students take written tests to compete in academic subjects against students from their district.
