The Viking Kingdom of Galloway: By 800, Norse and Irish warriors had set up a settlement by this name in Scotland. Is there a connection between the name Galloway and the term Galloglas?

Beacon fires: To signal, to celebrate festivals. They were usually set up on hills within sight of each other and used to convey a predetermined message. If you have any more information about this signal method, please let us know.

Things are stirring up in the Celtic political world and we would like to keep abreast of them as well as be informed of historical politics.
