Pillars of Smoke and Fire

On 11 September 2001, the sky appeared to fall. Two planes hit Towers 1 & 2 of the World Trade Center in New York City. Another plane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. In Pennsylvania, the passengers of a fourth hijacked airliner, hearing of the attacks, took matters into their own hands and stopped a fourth target from being hit - at the expense of their own lives. 
That day, the sky did not fall, the earth did not open, and the sea did not rise. Instead, we rose united from the ashes of destruction.
