I am ringed within the swords of who I was…

in another life…in this life, before I met you, Lady

I was happy…happy for a little while,

together with my first sweet Love…

the love of my Innocence.

Innocence gives way to Wisdom, to Purpose,

and Innocence will not follow.

I remember my Innocent…not so innocent Here and Now.

Innocence gave way to Grief,

to Pain you couldn’t pry your fingers from until it burned us,

cauterized some Road that Love traveled…

from me to you, and you to me.

I walk the green road, away from Blame, from Blindness.

Innocence goes her way.
