Holy Spirit
is mentioned in the Bible and sometimes this word leads to
a lot of confusion for Christian devotees who are unable to ascertain who
these are referred to. The only way to identify who this is referred to,
will require cross-referencing the under mentioned verses found in the
Bible. (Also read the earlier chapter on Angels)
When did the Holy Spirit come? Luke 1:15. John the Baptist filled with the Holy Spirit Luke 1:40…Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit Luke 1:67… Zacharias filled with the Holy Spirit John 20:22.. Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit Mark 3:29… Do not blaspheme the Holy Spirit Acts 1:8, 2:4, & 4:31…Apostle filled with Holy Spirit Acts 7:55.. Stephen full of Holy Spirit 1 Timothy 3:16 Jesus vindicated by Spirit All the above verses indicate the presence of the Holy Spirit at various times in various people, meaning the "Holy" spirit had occupied these people and had thus strengthened them and made them more pious in nature or simply put, they (Holy spirit) had inspired these people. In Christian theology the Holy Spirit is also taken to include the "Spirit of truth" or the "comforter" that will be sent after Jesus was removed from earth. Now read: John 16:7… But I (Iesus) tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the counselor (comforter) will not come to you. Judging from the above verses one can see how wrong Christian theology can get, It is pretty clear the Holy Spirit was present at all times or at other times as such, Iesus could not have referred to the Holy Spirit as the one to come after he will be removed. (Meaning: Iesus did not have to go in order for the presence of the Holy Spirit /Holy Ghost) So, who is the comforter / counselor that was to be sent after Iesus? Let us read the Bible texts that identify the messenger to come after Iesus. John 16:7…he will expose the world John 16:11…Jesus stands condemned. John 16: 12.. I (Iesus) have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when the Spirit of Truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will speak only what he hears and he will tell you what is yet to come He will being glory to me by taking what is mine and making it known to you. Acts 3:22. For Moses said, "The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from his people. Now let us read the earlier prophecy concerning this messenger to come. Deuteronomy 18: 18.. I (God) will raise up for them a prophet like you (Moses) from among their brothers ; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If any one does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account. Isaiah 9:6… For to us a child will be born to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called wonderful counselor, Isaiah 46:9 …Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: MY purpose will stand and I will do all that I please. From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far of land, a man to fulfill my purpose, The counselor /comforter to come has a very distinctive nature, that being he will be like Moses (a human being living a normal human life). He will not know how to read even, nor is he a philosopher or a poet. He will proclaim the Truth for all of mankind. This Truth, is not of his own but what he has heard from the Divine source. His message will remain till the appointed day of Judgement. He will become a governor of his state in this world. In our research, we found that the only person that fits all of these nature in every detail is the Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon all the Prophets and Messengers of Allah) Next topic is Love |
