Entering this Sanctuary you cross a threshold that is more than just a line separating There from Here. This threshold is a portal that connects and transports between space and time. Here and There are distinct entities. Here and There do not subtly change from one to the other as you move. Nay, the crossing of the threshold is an abrupt transformation. You have left There in its complete entirety behind you.
You are now Here.
Welcome.
A perfumed breeze silently wraps around you, welcoming you inside. There is plant-green, sky-blue, cloud-white, dirt-brown. There is movement. There is life. You are inside, yet it feels like outside.
The enclosure is a huge circular greenhouse made of alternating glass and marble wall sections. Ivy covered marble columns and supports reach up to a distant domed glass and wood roof high above. A multi-colored flower garden with a central fountain on a small hill, fruit trees, winding dirt paths and marble benchs invites you to relax. Around the perimeter many private, almost hidden, alcoves wait in the shadows. Many fragrant scents waft on the warm, gentle breezes - delighting and surprising. There is safety here - warm, snug, secure sanctuary from the storm of the Mundane. Relax for a while, feel the Flow and merge with it. Flora's presence is light, but uplifting, ever-present and thorough.
You walk slowly amid the plants. Butterflys and flowers lightly hold your attention. You stop here and there to watch the colorful flutterings, or to drink in the drifting perfumes. There is no hurry. .
You smile. It is pleasant here.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Relax.
Walk.
Wander.
Wonder.
Greet the flowers. Notice now a few chipmunks, garter snakes, salamanders and toads. Dragonflys, bees, ants and earthworms.
And others.
Just a few.
Plenty of room.
Peaceful.
Flowering and leafy plants abound in brilliant in color. Cozy spots are marked off by shrubs, full and round, and small trees standing proud. Grass and dirt paths wind in and around in pleasing curves, inviting you to walk them. Marble benches, intricately carved, placed strategically off the paths beckon to be sat upon. Ceramic, stone and wooden statuettes of brownies, gnomes and leprechauns hide playfully behind the shrubbery waiting to be discovered.
Take a while to absorb. Immerse yourself in the magic of Here. Breathe deeply of the assembled wonder. Stay until you smile.
