Conflicts of Culture – Presentation Guidelines
Objective: Students will be able to synthesize the information studied in their mastery groups including texts read, research, and answers to the key question to present in thirty (30) minutes to classmates.
Presentation Dates:
Wednesday, February 23 – Stories Told (A Lunch) and Struggle (1/2 way into C Lunch)
Thursday, February 24 – Faith & Duty (A Lunch) and Reconciliation (1/2 way into C Lunch)
Artifacts Needed:
Group Presentation Outline – Due end of class Friday, February 18
Detailed plan on organization of presentation, styles of presentation for each section, time frame for each section of the presentation, and participation of each group member
Graphic Organizer for Presentation – Due end of class Tuesday, February 22
Small Group-created organizer on which classmates can take notes during the presentation Remember that these organizers should be helpful for writing the essay in response to the Essential Question, as well as a reference in preparing for the Final Exam
Annotated Bibliography of Research Resources – Due end of class Tuesday, February 22

Lecture – Direct presentation of information
Discussion – Engagement of classmates in discussion of texts and topic
Activity – Engagement of classmates in fun, interesting mini-project
Evaluation – Quiz, assessment, or tool to measure classmates’ success in learning your material
