Feeling the presence of an advanced teacher of God and working with him or her to have all the puzzle pieces come together is an amazing experience. First you think you have problems. Then you find all your solutions falling into place and you may not even know how it happened.

So the spiritual counseling you experience with an advanced teacher of God is quite different than counseling you might experience in the world.

For one thing, most of the work is being done for you while your attention is on something else. You may be told to practice this or that, or focus your attention on such and such... but mostly your connection with the teacher is causing work to be done inside of you which you know not of.

Any "doing" to which you might be directed could be a valuable process, a token process given to appease your ego, or a device to keep your mind occupied elsewhere while the real work goes on. Counseling with an advanced teacher of God, you literally do not have any way to judge what is happening.

There is nothing you could do "wrong" when counseling with an advanced teacher of God. There is only a steady and rapid spiritual opening and a feeling of amazement as the puzzle pieces continue to fall into place.
