![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Those who came from Zeleia under the lowest foot of Ida, and drank the water of the Aisepos, wealthy men and Trojans, were led by Lycaon's son Pandaros, who received his bow from Apollo himself." ![]() In The Iliad, Zeleia is named as a city which fought for the Trojans. I thought the name very pretty, and chose it as the name for my heroine in a romance based on mythology. (The work is still in progress.) Then, in 1996, I discovered MUD's. Not knowing a MUD from a mud puddle, I did a little research on the net, logged onto a MUD called Castle Perilous, and -- in a panic -- realized I needed a character name. Zeleia readily sprang to mind. I have been playing Castle Perilous since August 1996. In February 1997, I was made an Immortal. So in a round-about way, "Zeleia" has come full circle. ![]() ![]() This is a drawing of the character of Zeleia by my dear friend Death, another Immortal at Castle Perilous.
