The B & M Railroad

The name of the Railroad is from the first letter from my father's first name and my first name.  He did all the wiring and planned the switches and how they would work.  Actually was pretty cool how he designed it.  Both of us had ideas on what we wanted to put on the layout.  Well we had layout build, the track laid and now it was time to have fun.  So what you have is his creative mind & my creative, ummmm whacked mind at work and I think we came up with a different kind of layout for what space we had to to work with.........

In 1994, my father and I got the model train bug.  There is a model railroad club in the town by us.  We would go to their open houses and watch them run their layout.  I eventually helped them at one of these events.  So we wanted to build our own, so we figured out how much room we could play with and went to work.  It is a fun hobby to do especially in the winter here, but also great to watch something come alive as you build it.....

It is now 2003, the B & M has been tore down.  But torn apart for a new layout that my father wants to do.  I myself am working on a bigger layout that will no doubt present a big challenge to build.  I am going back & relearning some things and learning new things.  So I will keep everyone updated...
