Good question. Here's a few things. Likes to fish, bird, hike, look at stars, read, and, believe it or not, teach young people about science. Believes education and attitude changes lives. Likes adolescents because of their energy, potential, and their fresh view of the world. Came to Frostburg about 20 years ago.

Thinks school should be both serious and fun. Is married to an FSU prof. Has a daughter who graduated from Northwestern University and is currently heading back to school for a nursing degree and a son who designs computer chips for Intel after completing his engineering degree at Carnegie Mellon University.
