Run: 1662 ( Tuesday ) Date: 23rd February 1999 Location: 6 km PAST the Bakam Turn-Off Hares: : Curly Dick & Wet Dream
Well the drive was a pleasant surprise since we didn’t have to go as far as advertised. The run site was deja-vu Day & Night Bala 5 ½ km past the Bakam turnoff, and unfortunately so was the first check up to the top of the big hill overlooking Sgt. Thien’s car park. Wet Dream gave a short speech about her specially perfumed toilet paper which was not to be confused with brown-stain paper and set us off into the latest hash maze, courtesy of Luminous Palm Job (more about that later). After the check at the apex, the on-on was into the bush half way back down the hill. Off went the FRB’s, but some lazy bastards just took off down the ridge trail. I hear they broke a few false trails which weren’t even part of this hash, another one which was, and were finally passed up the dim whited FRB’s led by JTS and Fudge Packer, with Supersucker calling the way in close pursuit.

A very unusual hash for this area in that it never went over the top of the ridge and stayed on the road side all the way. Also unusual in that there was tons of plastic red and white barrier tape left in the jungle from a previous hash to confuse all hashers in this area for years to come! An environmental nightmare to rival Chernobyl. The last check was long but you got to choose from 3 or 4 out trails, depending on which hash suited your fancy.

The RA wasn’t up to controlling the weather and it rained again on the wagon. Nearly everyone screwed off before Masochist got his 100th run tee shirt, the virgins got pottied, and we all set off to the Waterfront. The food was good and the down downs plentiful.
