Sailor's Love

As I sit here imagining our next passing,

I see the beauty of your distant sails.

The ones you have raised

just to beckon my arrival,

as they sweetly kiss the wind,

and we meet again.

Just the other night,

we both had set sail each alone.

With gusting winds in our faces,

obstacles in those special places,

that our kindled spirits

now have begun to share.

We are vessels over distant waters.

Our bodies warmed as they become,

not a figure difficult to decifer,

but an unexpected treasure,

amidst this fog of pleasure.

Two minds destined

by their plotted courses.

Somehow like two ships passing in the night,

Perhaps never so alone.
