This Web page is a tribute to the early settlers of our country with a description of the history of the Labar Families. The following pages will grow as information is gathered from the many interested descendants of the original three Labar brothers who migrated here from France to gain religious freedom. These brothers came into Philadelphia circa 1730 and settled on the Delaware River with their descendants migrating throughout the United States and Canada. There are many that carry the name yet today in various forms and spellings; the most popular being Labar, LaBarre, La Barr, LeBarre and other similar variations.
All descendants that are interested are invited to contribute to this web site and add to the stories and family tree additions to help put the pieces together for those that are missing.
