We're The Bookies...

We are a group of avid readers originally known as Oprah's Book Group and More...When we realized that we enjoyed a lot of other books besides Oprah's choices and needed some variety and an occasional pick-me-up book, we decided to start discussing other titles as well. One thing led to the next and we decided to change our name and our image.  

We discuss books in email and still include Oprah's picks in our schedule, but enjoy a variety of literature, both fiction and non-fiction. Every sixth month we have a classic selection.

However..."If you're looking for serious selected-book-topic-only discussion, this isn't the place. But if you are looking for nice people talking about anything and everything related to the books in their lives, this is it! You name the book, one of us has read it, and has an OPINION. :) Our common denominator is that we all read with the same certainty that we all eat. It's life. We're beyond the study of literature, we are living literature. And we don't take it any more seriously than we take ourselves."...Claudia, Bookie Extraordinaire
