The Curator and Staff

Meet the Curator...

Mrs. Jerri Pellegrinetti

Geraldine Pellegrinetti has always held an interest in folklore and history. It was these qualification and involvement that awarded her the position of curator of the Torbay Museum for the past ten years.

Mrs. Pellegrinetti (Jerri or Mrs. P as she is known to some of us) is an outgoing, friendly and informative individual. She has studied and completed twenty-seven basic courses dealing with museum environment and she is always willing to learn more. A visit to the museum can easily take one back to the turn of the century as stories, fables and traditions are often reflected upon when talking to Mrs. Pellegrinetti.

Mrs. Pellegrinetti was actually born in Freshwater, but has made Torbay her home for the past twenty-five years. She was once a volunteer at Commissariat House and a volunteer, for many years, with the Newfoundland Museum on Duckworth Street, working closely with Mr. Walter Peddle. The volunteering was an excellent basis for her to take the position in Torbay as curator.

Jeff Green

Jeff Green has been an employee and volunteer at the Torbay Museum for the past four years. Jeff is a student at Memorial University of Newfoundland and is in his fourth year in the Bachelor of Arts program, as a folklore major and Newfoundland Studies minor.

Cara Eustace

And then there's me... I'm also a Memorial University student but I'm studying towards a Bachelor of Science degree, as a computer science major and a mathematics minor. This webpage is actually my summer job. I had no previous experience at creating web pages and since I have a strong interest in computers and computer programs, I thought that this would be the ideal job. Not only have I learned a lot about the trials and tribulations of creating web pages - I have learned a lot about my town's heritage and folklore!!!!
